PADI DSMB (Delayed Surface Marker Buoy) Diver Course

Our course will Increase your safety and visibility in open water and it is required or strongly recommended in many dive locations, especially those with boat traffic, currents, or for drift dives A must-have skill for divers interested in technical, wreck, or deeper diving.

Bermuda Diving Center, offers the PADI DSMB Diver course to help certified divers enhance their safety skills. You'll learn how to prepare and stow your DSMB and reel, deploy it from a stationary position and mid-water, and use the line for a safety stop.

INITIAL KNOWLEDGE

eLearning provides a flexible, self-paced online option for studying the course material at your convenience.

Classroom learning is an in-person, traditional format where you learn directly from an instructor, which is great for those who prefer a structured environment and immediate interaction.

Requirements: PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
Minimum age: 12 years or older

Practical KNOWLEDGE

2Confined and Open Water Training

The PADI DSMB Diver course consists of both confined water (pool) and open water sessions to ensure you are fully comfortable with the skills. While the theory can be completed online or in a classroom, the practical training is where you gain real-world experience.

You will also refine your diving skills to demonstration quality under the supervision of an instructor.

Certified Diver

3Certification

You will be certified to safely use a DSMB to signal your location to the surface, a crucial skill for safety, especially in areas with currents or boat traffic. This certification also counts toward the prestigious PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
